Production/ Program Coordinator
JOB TYPE: CONTRACT
Dream Arts Company, a youth theatre arts organization in the Metro Detroit area, is looking for a driven and organized Production Coordinator to support our organization's administrative efforts for our arts education programming and productions. The Production Coordinator will work closely with the Artistic Director as well as our production parents and volunteers to help streamline communication and maintain timelines needed to produce our shows. As a member of the DACO team, the Production Coordinator will need to work collaboratively with other production personnel to keep the production running smoothly. We are looking for someone who can handle multiple responsibilities while keeping our student experience and our educational focused mission at the forefront. This position will require weekend and evening hours and prior experience working with youths ages 5-18 is preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support youth musical theatre productions and other projects working in collaboration with the DACO team
Handle arrival and dismissal of students at rehearsal and monitor rehearsals for safety when required
Coordinate and attend production meetings and parent volunteer committee meetings
Maintain communication with parent volunteers and ensure that committee work is being completed in a timely manner
Assist with the running of and scheduling when needed the Props, Set, Costume, and Ad/PR committee meetings
Manage administrative duties assigned by the Artistic Director related to venue coordination, cast and parent communication, or other related tasks
Monitor production auditions in collaboration with the creative team and Artistic Director
Use organizational skills to maintain overall production timelines and communicate updates with the creative team
Communicate with the cast and parents, as needed, regarding changes or additions to the rehearsal schedule and other items assigned by Artistic Director
Facilitate a safe environment for students to develop theatre skills regardless of previous experience
Be an effective representative of DACO in all situations and demonstrate the highest level of care and service for students, interns, and volunteers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field related to theatre, musical theatre, music, theatre education, stage management, arts education, arts administration
AND OR 1-2 years experience working with a youth arts organization or program
Experience working with students 5-18 preferred
Strong communication skills - written and oral
Ability to think creatively and problem solve
Ability to supervise and coordinate groups of parent volunteers and ensure the production deadlines and goals are being met

Music Director
JOB TYPE: CONTRACT
Dream Arts Company, a youth arts organization in the Metro Detroit area, immediately seeks a dynamic and experienced Music Director to help lead and direct musical theatre productions, workshops, and other special events throughout the year. The Music Director will head all music-related activities and music rehearsals and attend all performances to work with the accompanist and or musicians. This position will work in a team with the Artistic Director, Assistant Stage Director, and Choreographer. Weekend and evening hours will be required for certain programs.
Responsibilities and Duties

Lead all musical activities and rehearsals as discussed with the Artistic Director.

JOB TYPE: CONTRACT
Dream Arts Company, a youth theatre arts organization in the Metro Detroit area, is looking for a driven and experienced individual to help shape and build a new Vocal Music Program with the DACO team. The Director of Vocal Music Programming will be leading with the Artistic Director to design, coordinate, and direct all youth choral and vocal arts activities. This role would be great for anyone with experience conducting, teaching, or leading youth vocal music groups and who has a passion for empowering and encouraging young performers.
Responsibilities and Duties

Provide instruction, encourage, and develop vocal and ensemble skills of young singers regardless of their current skills and experience.

Plan and execute all rehearsals, concerts, and adjunct performances during the year.

Utilize flexibility, creativity, and initiative in programming and curriculum creation.

Foster a creative, flexible, and enthusiastic environment that serves and inspires student engagement and learning.

Lead rehearsals and keep students focused and engaged during the process.

Research and select appropriate music and repertoire for programming.

Work with the Artistic Director in developing and designing new programs, ensembles, and related offerings.

Qualifications

Dream Arts Company, a youth theatre arts organization in the Metro Detroit area, is seeking an energized and experienced Teaching Artist to support the Artistic Director in our arts education programming and theatrical production process. The Teaching Artist will work directly with youth performers in workshops, classes, leading rehearsals. Teaching Artists will take initiative in the blocking and creative direction of the production. As a member of the DACO team, the Teaching Artist will need to work collaboratively with other production personnel to keep the production running smoothly. We seek someone who can handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining student engagement and enjoyment at the forefront. This position will require weekend and evening hours; prior experience working with children under 18 is preferred.

Dream Arts Company, a youth arts organization in Metro Detroit, is excited to launch a brand-new Vocal Ensemble program. It seeks a passionate, experienced Music Director to lead its development and growth.
This position is ideal for a dynamic educator or conductor who thrives in a collaborative, creative environment and is eager to inspire young singers. The Music Director will lead weekly ensemble rehearsals, prepare students for performances, and work closely with the Artistic Director to develop vocal programming that celebrates musical theatre, pop, contemporary choral styles, and more. This position will also play an essential role in shaping our new vocal ensembles' musical identity and culture from the ground up.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Lead weekly rehearsals for vocal ensemble(s), focusing on healthy vocal technique, ensemble blend, and performance readiness.

Select an age-appropriate and stylistically diverse repertoire in collaboration with the Artistic Director.

Position Overview
We are seeking Teaching Artists who specialize in visual arts, crafts, and design to lead workshops, classes, and arts-based experiences for a wide range of students. From watercolor to weaving, mixed media to model-making—if you're passionate about hands-on creativity and community engagement, we want to hear from you.
This is a contract-based position with flexible scheduling. Evening and weekend hours may be required based on programming.
