  • Prepare one full contemporary Broadway (post-1960)  song that best highlights your range and style. See additional notes below.

  • Bring an 8x10 headshot/recent photo. You DO NOT have to have a professional headshot. A simple pic of yourself is fine!! Make sure you are the only one in the picture. Photos are not returned to you. Please write your full name on the back of your 8x10  photo.

  • Parents can wait in our designated waiting room during the auditions.

  • Please, NO selections from “HAMILTON,” “Part of Your World,” “The Little Mermaid,” WICKED, or  MOANA. Please, no selections from Stephen Sondheim. No POP songs! Please only perform a Broadway song.

  • VERY IMPORTANT: Please plan on performing your musical selection with the same amount of acting with which you rehearse and perform a monologue or scene.

  • Please bring your sheet music (with full piano accompaniment). Three-hole punch your music and place it in a 3-ring binder!

  • Arrive NO MORE THAN 10 minutes before your audition appointment.

  • PLEASE NOTE: The audition process may take approximately 1 -1.5 hours.

  • ADVICE: Please order your music online and/or from a local store before the last minute. Shipping often takes a couple of weeks. Also, we strongly suggest practicing/reviewing your sheet music with a pianist before your audition. Do not assume your song's CD/Radio version is the same as your sheet music. Hearing the sheet music version of a song for the first time during an audition will not allow you to perform at your best!!

The Addams Family Musical is primarily a contemporary score with varied musical genre influences, including flamenco-style Spanish, vaudevillian, jazz & ballads reminiscent of Stephen Sondheim.

We strongly suggest picking an audition song from a contemporary Broadway musical post-1960. See suggestions below.

However, if you are not familiar with rep from any of the shows listed below and are limited on time, please sing a Broadway song you are most comfortable singing. We want you to shine and feel confident during your audition.

Suggested list of shows that contain songs we feel are best for your ADDAMS audition:

CAUTION: Some shows listed include adult content and may contain serious subject matter. Please proceed with a song selection that is most appropriate for your family.
