After great success with the Detroit Princess Cabaret last summer, the princesses are back to party…
but this time, their princes are along for the ride!
Inspired by the Broadway Princess Party cabarets hosted by Laura Osnes at 54 Below, the Detroit Princess (and Prince!) Cabaret will feature the abundant vocal talents that Detroit has to offer, while bringing together a community to support theatre education!
WHEN: Monday, July 23rd @ 8pm
WHERE: Orchid Lounge in Downtown Ferndale
Rehearsals are flexible but limited, usually 3-4 rehearsals total with one day serving as one-on-one time with the accompanist. However, you will be expected to learn your music on your own time once assigned.
The performance and all rehearsals are unpaid--all profits will benefit Dream Arts Company.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 10-13 men with strong vocals and ability to embody the spirit of favorite prince characters.
- 1-3 additional women to fill roles in our ensemble of princesses (Tiana, Esmeralda, and Pocahontas)
All types are welcome, regardless off race, sexuality, or body type!
WHEN: Friday, April 20th (Evening)
WHERE: Birmingham Unitarian Church (Bloomfield Hills)

We may ask you to stay and sing again, so please let us know in the email if you will be unable to stay. You will be contacted via email with your audition slot.
WHAT TO PREPARE
PRINCESS: Please prepare either 2 contrasting 16-bar selections or 1 32-bar selection that shows your style, vocal range, and personality best. Disney or otherwise prince/hero songs are encouraged but not required.
If you are auditioning for:
Tiana, please prepare 16 bars of "Almost There."
Esmeralda, please prepare 16 bars of "God Help the Outcasts."
Pocahontas, please prepare 16 bars of either "Colors of the Wind" or "Just Around the Riverbend."
You are welcome to sing for more than one character, but please let us know when you schedule your audition.
