Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure

Auditions are via Zoom. 

Callbacks (if needed) are in-person.

If cast, families are asked for understanding and flexibility when rescheduling is necessary

due to weather conditions. 

 

Soar away to Neverland in this magical adaptation drawn from the beloved novel with fresh, original music! 
The Darling children love to hear of Peter Pan’s adventures during his visits through the open window of the nursery.  Then one night after Nana has taken his shadow and Wendy has sewn it back on, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell whisk the children off to Neverland to be part of the adventures. 

All your favorite characters are there, including Captain Hook and his pirate crew, Princess Tiger Lily and her tribe, and of course, the Lost Boys and Girls!

Students ages 8-19 from all over the metro Detroit area

are eligible to audition. 

Audition Dates: April 28, 2021

Callbacks: May 2, 2021

Show Dates: July 10-12, 2021

Rehearsals begin the week of May 2, 2021

All dates are subject to change.

  • Projected Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday after 5:00 p.m. If needed, weekend rehearsals will vary.

  • All actors are not called to every rehearsal.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Please review our Covid-19 protocols before registering for a program/audition.  

Note: We understand and respect varying opinions regarding the COVID-19 virus. If you decide to register for one of our programs, we expect every student and family to fully support and follow the protocols designed by DACO and our rental facility. 

Social distancing will be practiced by students and staff during all sessions.

​It is of utmost importance for students not to attend classes/workshops/rehearsals if they are not feeling well or show ANY symptoms of COVID 19.

 

Students ONLY will enter our studio courtyard area. Parents or caretakers will not be admitted into the studio courtyard in order to limit exposure. PARENTS/CARETAKERS—PLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR CAR WHEN DROPPING OFF OR PICKING UP YOUR CHILD.

Students will enter through the courtyard entrance. From the parking lot, take the sidewalk around the far left (west) of the main building.

At drop off, we will check each student's temperature. Anyone with a temperature of 100 or higher will not be allowed to enter the studio courtyard. Anyone with a fever must be fever-free for at least 72 hours without medication before returning to DACO. Additionally, any staff member who runs a fever will be required to have a negative COVID-19 test before returning to DACO. We highly recommend students have a negative COVID-19 test before returning to DACO as well.
 

The BUC building is closed. No one will be allowed to use any part of the building.

 

Bathrooms: Students, enrolled in a class/workshop/production, will have access to an indoor bathroom on campus.

 

With the exceptions of eating, drinking, or taking a few moments for mask relief, ​masks must be worn at all times during our outdoor sessions. Teaching Artists will follow this rule as well.

Note: DACO will provide PPE shields for dress rehearsals and the final performance. 

Students will wash and sanitize hands often and thoroughly! Students will be required to sanitize hands upon arrival and at other points throughout the day. DACO will provide hand sanitizer throughout the studio courtyard, in restrooms, and at entrances/exits. Students are also encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer.  

 

​Finally, Covid-19 protocols continue to serve as a learning process for DACO. 

 

PLEASE remain patient with us as we pursue these new procedures.
